1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using sogmailcleaner, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

sogmailcleaner is an email cleaning application developed by an individual developer and operated under applicable laws.

2. Description of Service

sogmailcleaner provides tools to:

Organize and clean your Gmail inbox
Delete emails in bulk (moved to Gmail's Trash, where Gmail deletes them permanently after ~30 days)
Block unwanted senders (creates a filter in your Gmail account that routes their future emails to Trash)
Group your inbox by sender, and review or delete everything from one sender at once
Identify likely junk senders ("Possible spam") using on-device pattern analysis, with your own allow list, reports, and custom domain-ending filters
Unsubscribe from newsletters
Manage large attachments and heavy emails
Sort mail into your own folders, which are created as real labels in your Gmail account
Keep selected emails protected from bulk deletions
Hide emails in a secure folder locked with a PIN you choose
Track free trials you sign up for, and get reminded before they charge you
Review your inbox one email at a time by swiping
View email usage statistics and storage insights (computed from message metadata)

2.1 Junk Detection Disclaimer

The "Possible spam" feature uses heuristics and your own rules to flag likely junk. Like any automated filter, it can occasionally flag legitimate senders or miss junk. Flagged emails are never deleted automatically — they are set aside for your review, and you decide whether to keep, block, or delete them. Use "Not spam" to restore a sender permanently.

2.2 Secure Folder Disclaimer

The secure folder hides emails behind a PIN inside this app only. It is not encryption: those emails still exist in your Gmail account and remain visible in Gmail's own search and in All Mail. Do not treat it as protection against someone with access to your Google account.

2.3 AI Assistant

The optional AI assistant only works if you connect your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google. We do not provide, pay for, or operate any AI service on your behalf, and your emails are never sent to an AI provider. Only the text of the command you type is sent, under that provider's own terms.

3. Plans and Pricing

3.1 Free Plan

3.2 Premium Plan

Up to 5 accounts in total: yours plus 4 linked

Scheduled auto-clean
AI assistant with no monthly deletion cap (the assistant itself is available on the Free plan too)

3.3 Pricing

Monthly: $6.99 USD/month
Annual: $59.88 USD ($4.99/month)

A 6-month plan was sold previously and is no longer offered. If you are subscribed to it, it keeps renewing at the price you agreed to until you cancel.

4. Payments and Billing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
You may cancel at any time from your account settings
Upon cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period
The current period is not refunded upon cancellation; only the next payment is stopped

5. Communications Consent

By creating an account you agree to receive service emails: purchase and renewal receipts, refund notices, reminders before your plan or a tracked trial expires, and notices about your account being blocked or unblocked.

You can turn most of these off in Settings, under Email Notifications. Notices about your account being blocked or unblocked cannot be turned off, because they are necessary to operate the service.

6. Refund Policy

6.1 Refund Eligibility

You may request a refund if:

The request is made within 7 days of payment
The charge was unauthorized
You experienced serious technical issues preventing use of the service

6.2 How to Request a Refund

Email sogmailcleaner.support@gmail.com with your registered email address, payment date, and reason for the request.

6.3 Fraudulent Chargebacks

Warning: If you dispute a charge directly with your bank (chargeback) without contacting us first, and we determine it was fraudulent, your account will be blocked until the outstanding amount is paid. You can settle it from within the app and regain access immediately.

7. Acceptable Use

By using sogmailcleaner, you agree NOT to:

Attempt to access accounts that do not belong to you
Use the service for illegal activities
Circumvent free plan limitations
Abuse the trial period using multiple accounts or devices
Interfere with the operation of the service
Reverse engineer the application

8. Limitation of Liability

sogmailcleaner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for:

Loss of emails due to use of the service
Gmail service interruptions caused by Google
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data or information

Recommendation: Always verify carefully before bulk deleting emails. Deletions are irreversible once the trash is emptied.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the application settings.

When you delete your account, your Google access is revoked immediately and everything stored on your device is erased. Your usage counters and plan history are kept on purpose, so that deleting and recreating an account cannot be used to reset the free limits or claim the trial again. See the Privacy Policy for how to have that record removed as well.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through a notice in the application. Continued use of sogmailcleaner after changes constitutes your acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.
